It is one of the most crowded beaches in the town. You can gain access to it from the road towards Almería, turning right off at the residential area 'Urbanización Verano Azul'. It is a beach with a good range of facilities and beautiful surroundings, plenty of cliffs and mountains. It is frequently visited by entire families. At this beach, you can also do many sports such as: kayaking, canoeing, snorkeling, scuba diving and volleyball.

In 2004, it was awarded, together with another Andalusian beach, the Q-Mark for Tourist Quality. This certification has been maintained ever since.

Every year, it is also awarded the Blue Flag.
